This is my first time to ate a vegetable salad. Though I love vegetables, having lettuce salad would be interesting to try. Aside from that I would be eating my own harvested lettuce.
Lettuce is one of the most consumed green leafy vegetables here in the Philippines. Many restaurants serves salads as well. There are many restaurant blooms which serves Samgyupsal. It is known to be originated in South Korea and many Filipinos already loved it.
It is eating a roasted beef meat wraps in lettuce leaf. It comes with different sauces like mayonaise and cheese. The flavors blended so well and it feels like to be in South Korea like in every K-dramas that we've watched. Maybe that is one of the reason why Samgyupsal gained popularity because of the influence of K-drama and the fans can't help but to try it.
So here are my simple ingredients that I prepared to make my lettuce salad.
Here's what you need:
Lettuce leaf
1 cup Mayonaise
1 whole white onion
1 Big tomato
fine salt and pepper
calamansi/lemon extract
Here's how:
- I cut several leaf into this lettuce. I chose the older leaf and let the new leaf to grow. I washed it and drained.
2.Then I sliced tomato, onion and lettuce. Put in a bowl and toss it.
*you can cut the tomato in smaller pieces like I did here. I highly recommend to use white onion cause it has a milder taste.
3.Add some salt, mayonaise and pepper. Give a gentle toss and serve it as is.
Making sure that all your vegetables are wash, you might use baking soda with water and submerge your veggies unto it.
It is done. Just a few cut and toss lettuce sala is ready. I cannot eat this without mayo because I haven't eaten raw vegetable like this one. I know eating some raw and uncooked vegetables has more beneficial but I think this is a good start tho.
