This is the easiest and affordable recipe that you can do in your regular cabbage. No fancy ingredients and no meat needed.
Cabbage is one of my all time favorite vegetables. It is categorize as part of cruciferous vegetable and been proven to have significant sources of fiber, vitamins and minerals.
One of my recent discovery about cabbage is that I can do ferment it like. It is called sauerkraut. It is packed with lactic acid which is a good bacteria found in any fermented foods.
Here is my sauerkraut. It is now 4 days old and I am planning to put them in my burger this Sunday. Hope it will turn out good.
For this recipe you will just need half of large cabbage or just the whole cabbage.
Ingredients:
Shredded cabbage
2 whole eggs
2-3 cloves of garlic minced
1-2 packs marie biscuit crumbs
¼ cup flour or corntarch
vegetable oil for frying
salt and pork seasoning
Here's how:
1.In a bowl combine cabbage, garlic, salt, eggs and flour. Give a good mix this well combine.
2.Then add marie biscuit and I also add more flour that't why I round it up into ¼ cup in total. I also add pork seasoning and mix it again.
3.Heat your pan with some oil and scoop atleast 1 tbsp of the mixture. Fry in medium low heat.
4.Flip both side till it appears golden brown. Repeat the process until finish and drain excess oil.
You can use it as a replacement of burger meat I guess so. For me I can do it and put in my burger bun, put some mayo, ketchup, pickles and white onion and cheese. I think an egg can be also added to give an extra texture.
Omg it made me feel hungry right now. I just put ketchup and this will serve as our dinner tonight. No hassle and affordable price but still delicious and nutritious. I think your kids will love it if they hate to eat vegetables.
Thanks for dropping by and be safe!
