It's been 3 weeks since I let 6 pieces of chicken eggs to be soaked in salt brine method so I can try myself to make my own salted eggs. I open it last September 12 which is one day late to the suggested date that I wrote in the lid label. Well I think there is no issue about it because some people took a month before they decided to eat their salted eggs.
Today I decided to make an Egg Salad using my own salted eggs. I'm so excited to try and taste my own salted eggs so I bought other ingredients that i needed.
3 pcs salted eggs
4 pcs tomato
1 medium size onion
Here's how I make it:
1.Wash the eggs thoroughly with water. Then put the eggs inside a plastic bag. Prepare water and caserole to boil and cook eggs.
2.While waiting for eggs to be cooked, I sliced tomatoes and onions minced and set aside.
3.After several minutes, I checked the eggs and carefully take them out one by one. I put the eggs on tap water and wait until it cools.
4.Once it cools I cracked the eggs into small parts. I mixed the eggs with tomatoes and onions and put some fine salt to add some flavor.
It's been awhile since the last time that we've eaten salted eggs. We are glad that we have tried to make our own salted eggs. Maybe next time I would tried duck eggs instead of chicken eggs. I don't know what is the comparison of the taste of those eggs but definitely it taste good tho. I hope you could try to make your own salted eggs and make any dish using salted eggs.
