This is one of the most amazing foods here in Venezuela, you can eat it for breakfast, for lunch or even dinner at night.
It is made of sweet corn, so it is a bit sweet, or too sweet if you add too much sugar.
If you want, here are the ingredients:
- Ground Sweet Corn or Sweet Corn Flour.
- Sugar.
- Salt (not too much).
- Milk or Water.
- Butter.
The most classic is "Cachapa con Queso" - "Cachapa with cheese"
However, people make it with everything they want... Restaurants usually offer these ones below (I don't remember all, so I'll show just some of them):
Cachapa con Pollo - Cachapa with Chicken
I don't know if "Cachapa with Chicken" is well-written, however, I love this one!
Cachapa con Cochino - Cachapa with Pig
It looks so good! Personally, I'd put the pig in the cachapa, not aside.
Cachapa con Carne Mechada - Cachapa with larded meat
Personally, I don't like too much larded meat, however, It looks great!
