Ingredients:
300 gr jengkol (soak overnight so it is soft and easy to peel) 1 lemongrass stick, spread the bay leaves 1 tablespoon oyster sauce and sugar to taste
Ground spices:
4 garlic cloves8 onion cloves2 tomatoes5 cayenne pepper 4 big red chili oil to saute
How to cook:
Boil the jengkol until tender, drain. Slice the slices lengthwise, fry them for a while to dry. Set aside. Saute smooth until fragrant, add bay leaves and lemongrass. Saute until it changes color. Add fried jengkol and mix well with seasoning. Add enough oyster sauce, salt and sugar. Cook until the chilli thickens and seeps on jengkol.
Jengkol goreng Sambal is ready to be enjoyed with warm rice.
