I am really fascinated with this colorful Buyi Rice. It is produced by Buyi people of Luoping County, Yunnan, China. It is like a sticky rice (malagkit in Filipino) and they color it with some sort of plant pigment. Don't worry. It is organic so it is safe. It is cooked as you would when you cook a normal rice Some eat it without sugar but we preferred it with sugar. So it is like eating inangit (a Filipino delicacy) without the coconut milk. You can buy it at popular tour sites in Luoping like Lousitan Field, Jiulong Falls and Douyi River Scenic Park. We bought a bowl for 5 yuan. And you can buy the uncooked one for 10 yuan.
