All over the world people eat different types of food. There are as many staple food as there are communities in the world.
Staple food comes with availability and speciality of the people. Where rice is grown in plenty then food with rice becomes the staple food. Asian countries prefer rice.
Corn is mostly grown mostly in North Carolina. The corn is however used to feed farm animals.
In Kenya however, corn has other uses. It is ground into flour which is used to make Ugali. Ugali is hard porridge or corncake. Ugali then becomes the staple food of most tribes in Kenya.
The way ugali is made is very simple. One puts water to measure on a cooker. He heats the water to boiling point. Flour is then added as you stir till it is hard. Continue stirring to mix fully. Cook on till it produces a nice aroma. Then you remove it and serve.
Ugali is often eaten with avariation of stew. One can opt for fish stew, meat or vegetables. The meal is heavy and one may feel drowsy if eaten for lunch.
