Happy weekend! Overnight oats are quick and cheap, but also very good for you.
You can make it ahead of time, so you have a delicious breakfast waiting for you every morning.
Here’s my overnight oats, or as we call it here in Norway: Kjøleskapsgrøt (fridge porridge).
It’s because the porridge makes itself in the fridge.
It’s decorate with strawberries, grapes, walnuts, shredded coconut and honey. Basically everything I had laying on my kitchen counter.
The oats are made this was:
Find a big container with a lid
Pour as much oats as you’d like into it
Choose your favorite milk and pour it in
Add Greek yoghurt, regular or vegan yoghurt into the container
Mix it together. The mix should be very runny. Like pancake batter
Add chia seeds if you’d like
Add a sweetener - I added maple syrup. But honey is really good too
Add a flavor. You can add anything! Banana, peanut butter, cacao, you name it! I just added a bit of cinnamon this time
Put it in the fridge for at least an hour. I like it best when it’s been in the fridge overnight. And it still taste good for another few days
It’s ofcoursed styled to look its best in pictures.
So if you wonder what it looks like when I actually eat it:
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!
Greeting from sunny Norway. 🇳🇴
