Pineapple, chili and pork served in chapati, a salty pancake made by a local grandma, served at a gorgeous tropical beach. Yesterday was the best day yet at the Seychelles. Although I thought the same thing the day before...
I love street food! And I definitely love African cuisine.
When I visited Kenya, I fell in love with chapatis. A chapati is a salty or at least not sweet pancake.
And when and I visited an African bazar yesterday and we saw that one of the vendors were selling chapati we knew we had to pick that one.
It doesn’t look very exciting, but trust me, inside this dull colored pancake there’s a taste explosion waiting to happen.
This market lets all locals sell what the make at home.
We tasted delicious starfruit, passion fruit, banana chips and least but not least, chapati with pork and pineapple! It’s safe to say that my tastebuds were insanely happy yesterday!
While waiting on the food, ordered rum punch for us. This lady served coconut rum, pineapple drinks and lots of refreshing drinks! We’re not spoiled with so much fresh fruit in Norway, so it’s not hard to impress us!
If you ever have the opportunity to visit a local food market, just do it!
