Cakes like this one. I made my living and pleased the people I love with luscious, indulgent cakes and treats.
I still do, it gives me pleasure to please people with my food.
However, a couple of years ago, my life changed and I embraced a new way of eating. A healthier, more aware, more holistically way of eating. The second photo is a raw, vegan cake.
It's a recipe I developed when I decided things, for me, had to change.
It's a beautiful cake. The base is sprouted buckwheat, dates, activated nuts. The filling is a luscious peanut and cashew butter fudge, and the whole lot is finished with a raw cacao icing, edible petals and cacao nibs.
It's nutrient dense, satisfies all those sugar and carb cravings AND is still perfect to offer to those who don't follow any particular food regime. Honest, they won't know it's good for them 😊
It now gives me so much pleasure to share what I've learned during that journey..
You see, "good" food can still be beautiful. It can still please the senses, captivate the imagination.
