This banana bread is so easy and delicious. Great for breakfast, brunch, a snack or dessert. You can top the bread with a glaze, you can make french toast banana bread, make a banana bread peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or even serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
If you have some bananas and sour cream you need to use, this is a delicious way to use them. VIDEO RECIPE at the end of this post.
How to Make Moist Banana Bread
INGREDIENTS:
3 large ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven 350 degrees. All ingredients are at room temperature.
Smash bananas until thin consistency but still has some small chunks of banana.
In a bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt.
In another bowl cream butter and sugar together.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in between.
Add sour cream and vanilla extract and mix well.
Add bananas and mix well.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in a couple
of batches. Mix until combined. Do not overmix.
Pour batter into a well greased/buttered loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.
Let slightly cool and then remove from the pan to continue to cool. If you are like me you won't be able to wait!
