I went out to eat with a good friend who came to visit me today at a fancy local deli. We had a gift card for the place so that’s why we went, otherwise I never would have thought to go there as it’s not the kind of place I usually eat at.
To start off, they gave us some very fancy hummus with some jalapeño paste on top. It was good, and the jalapeño stuff was my favorite.
The hummus came with this house made pita too, and it was piping hot right out of oven. When I picked it up out of the basket it almost burned my fingers!
After that came this delicious Greek salad. While it was good I wish it had come with more olives and artichoke hearts, though it did come with plenty of feta cheese.
Finally the main entree came, which was a nice classic club sandwich with house cured bacon and avocado. It also came with french fries and strangely a single piece of broccoli as the “mixed vegetables” billed on the menu.
Overall it was a great meal but I couldn’t finish it so more leftovers for me!
