Today I will make you a sweet that is delicious and ideal for the summer as it is kept in the fridge and can be served with a topping like ice cream, or marmalade (my favourite!)
This sweet reminds me of my childhood and my grandmother, as people those days used to make food out of the most simple and noble ingredients. There was no variety and they just used their imagination!
It is a very easy to make dessert and its ingredients can be, more or less, found in our kitchen.
Ingredients: 100gr of cacao, 200gr caster sugar, 1 egg, 1 ½ pack of Petit Beurre biscuits, 100gr of milk, 100 gr of butter, 2 shots of brandy
I mix the caster sugar along with the cacao. Then, I add the butter which I formerly have melted. I add the egg, the milk, and 1 shot of brandy and mix altogether. In another bowl, I break the biscuits into pieces with my bare hands. I bathe them with the shot of brandy. I then mix the scented-in-brandy-biscuits and my cacao mix. I roll the mixture in wax paper, divided in two parts, and place them in the fridge.
You take the mosaic out of the fridge whenever you wish to eat a slice. I usually make it when I invite people over so that I prepare it a couple of days in advance and don t have to worry about dessert on the day of the event. I take it out of the fridge, slice it into pieces and voila!
š It may be kept in the fridge up to a month.
Enjoy!
