Hi there !
Are you a health concerned sweet tooth ?
Eating right doesn't mean you have to give up on good taste. That is what I am going to try to show you as much as possible in this account.
Eating right doesn't mean that we have to make our lives more complicated either. My recipes are super easy and require basic ingredients. I like to throw in some super foods too, for added nutritional quality. If you're curious, try this recipe. The only regret you may have is that you didn't make enough ;)
I hope you like my recipes. Feel free to let me know what you think.
Ingredients for 8 bars
Nougat layer
– 150g cashew nuts soaked for 6 hours
– 3 tbsp maple syrup
– 60g almond butter
– 1 tbsp lucuma powder
– 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
– 2 tbsp almond milk
Caramel layer
– 170g pitted dates
– 70g almond butter
– 2 tbsp water
Chocolate layer
– 75g coconut oil
– 4 tbsp maple syrup
– 1 pinch of salt
– 25g raw cocoa powder
Instructions
Prepare the nougat layer by blending all ingredients in your food processor until ingredients are combined.
Spread in square shape on a baking sheet.
Freeze for 30 minutes.
Prepare the caramel layer by mixing all ingredients until combined.
Spread the caramel on the nougat layer and put back in the freezer while you prepare the chocolate.
Put the coconut oil in a sauce pan and melt over very low heat.
Take off heat and mix with the rest of the chocolate ingredients.
Leave to cool a little.
Cut the nougat/caramel square into bars.
Coat each bar with the chocolate and store in the fridge for 5 minutes. Repeat process twice for a decent amount of chocolate on each.
That's it ! You can keep them for up to a week, in the fridge, and up to 3 weeks in the freezer.
