Good afternoon, Steemians.
I want to talk about something that doesn't make sense to me.
"Each year, the U.S. Government spends $38 billion to subsidize the meat and dairy industries, but only 0.04% of that (i.e. $17 million) each year on fruits and vegetables."
Citation
So why are they subsidizing meat to make it so cheap? Good question. They want you to remain sick. You being sick = more money spent on pharmaceuticals, and Big Pharma loves you for that.
Eating fruits and vegetables makes a lot of sense, but it doesn't make a lot of dollars for these industries.
If you still don't believe me, look at this ad from Winn-Dixie that just came in the mail.
Grapes cost more than chicken legs. Now, think about this for a moment. You have to raise a chicken, feed it, give it shelter, kill it, pluck its feathers out, break off the legs, sterilize it and package it. With grapes, you plant a seed, water it, give it sunlight, and pick the grapes when they are ready. How the hell does all of that cost more than everything I just mentioned with the chicken? Oh yeah, subsidies.
Asparagus?
Or chicken wings? How can they be the same price!??? Asparagus is literally a plant that just grows in the ground! You pick it and then eat it!
Bag of oranges?
Or ground beef?
The government is not your fucking friend, guys. They want to keep you dumbed down, just smart enough to run the machines and not question things like this. But they don't want you smart enough to realize the mobsters and the racketeers and the thieves that they are. That's all they are: thieves. Taxation is theft. I don't care how you look at it, it's the truth.
Thanks for stopping by Steemians.
