I read about it never heard about it and as I asked for the recipe...
I read several and it doesn't sound difficult or special to me. The spices have a lot in common with our "speculaas".
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda (not necessary)
1 teaspoon baking powder (you can bake cookies without)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin (use real pumpkin)
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided (vanilla sugar)
Howto: make a dough out of it and out of the dough cookies. You can make balls first and push them flat with your hand or a glass.
Oven 180-190°C
Baking time: 15-18 minutes
If you have a good cookie recipe yourself I would say add the spices and pumpkin. All cookies are basically the same.
Optional for topping (not my taste)
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon butter, softened
