Head back to the 80's with my look at the food of my childhood , I mean come on 80's was the best ever !!!
The 80's was when I did not have worrying about weight , could it give me spots etc, because hey I was a kid -so what.
So here is a trip down memory lane.......
Findus Crispy Pancakes - pancakes with breadcrumbs who had thought these would be a child's diet staple in the 80's !!, lovely with chips and beans I loved the ones with minced beef( that's when I did eat meat ), there still sell them to this day , nowadays I would choose the cheese ones
Findus Pizza Bread - still going strong , happy memories of them getting served up at my friends birthday parties.
Crawford's Rover Assorted Biscuits- normally my granny would have a tin of these " for the kid's " as she would say , sometimes people got them as a gift for Christmas , did not mind any of them there were a good selection !
Birdeye's Potatoe Waffles - waffly versatile ! spread them with margarine after cooking, have then with beans and fried eggs ,hmmm
Birdeye's Dessert's a wide range of tasty treats , in them days one was good enough for me , now maybe two will do , I loved the chocolate one with a little whip of cream in the middle !!
Cabury's Creme Egg of course still selling , but I don't think there the same not much gooey stuff in them now , hey how did you eat your's ....
Pineapple chunks and cheese cubes on cocktail sticks sometimes for poshness you may add a pickled onion - classic food at a 80's party , and you know what there didn't taste that bad either.
Mackintosh's Golden Cup choc bar - a treat for after school.
Fizz Wiz , glorious popping candy , who did not open there mouths while it popped , then get told off by your mum !
Candy bracelets and necklace , strung on some elastic , eat your through it , simple and clever -a fashion item you can eat
Marshmallow ice cream cone - a very sugary cone with sprinkles , the ice cream that did not melt !
Mcains micro chips , stick them the radiation chamber -sorted
Hedgehog flavoured crisps, were not popular at all , us kids thought there was actually made from hedgehogs , thankfully there weren't
Candy sticks , best know as candy cigarettes , made to look like cigs so , us kids went around pretending to smoke , now thinking about it there did not taste that nice !
There are tons more foods I fondly remember , thanks for reading xx
