Vegan Temple
Both had heard and seen so many delicious photos on social networks, which had even get to go to The Food Temple .
Believe me it was not easy to get there but after some three laps at the same site in until we stopped to take a beer in hand as we continued on our quest, appears a lady who tells us; "come the next cut to the left, where there are two trees, a bank in the middle in front of a graffiti of a girl round sunglasses and a street really close."
Said and done, after these references there were the stairs he had seen in the photographs and the door to Food Temple.
The biggest problem now was the lack of table reservation.
How I forgot this detail so important ?!
After explaining that we had not booked but longed for the arrival of this day to be able to experience the wonderful snacks, we could be seated at a small table.
Divide the table with a group of Italians, they also to try the restaurant for the first time, which turned out to be very funny.
A loving lady came to ask us if it was the first time in this restaurant and give us the menu, explaining some concept.
Dinner is served in two shifts and the menu is never the same, not from day to day or from shift to shift. I confess that the idea of having only one main dish on the menu scared me a little, and if I did not ?!
We ended up following the idea of one of the boys and order two plates of each snack and two main to share.
The menu today was a cold melon soup and cucumber, which at first made me twist a little nose to be cold but quickly made me change my mind, mung bean salad, which I am mega fan, bean dip accompanied by vegetables black cut into sticks, udon pink and stewed the Middle east.
We then asked, a soup each, two plates of each patch and two main dishes.
The soup, which I had found that I did not feel at all surprised me a lot.
I had a velvety texture and a spicy touch at the end, knew me to begin this beautifully vegan experience.
The tiny tapas bowls, as well as a funny and colorful appearance, were delicious. The black bean dip was crying for more, with the carrots into sticks it was a wonder, and mung bean salad was really well prepared, all the flavors blended perfectly.
As for the noodles, as I am a fan of udon, adoreiiiiiiii !!!
The only downside, for those who are not a fan of this type of food, is that tapas are all cold.
Continuing the list of vegan dishes came the two main dishes, the one that had stewed a little afraid to dislike. The presentation was delicious and very generous dose. With a plate of these already would be more than satisfied.
The stew, freshly made and still warm, it was really good, never thought so fond of this dish. I even had chunks of potato starch that resembled small shrimps, in short, a little wonder.
Still appeared a vegan chorizo bread halfway through the meal which was delicious, between this and normal bread pudding, to which we are accustomed, there was no big difference.
I forgot to mention the drinks from the natural juices and teas, there was a biological cider we decided to try. When it strange taste olive principle, but then combines beautifully with the tapas.
Obviously, the experience does not end here, the restaurant has two desserts we had to come to the table to experience !!
A cinnamon roll and delicious ice cream of pistachio. Honestly I'm not sure which was my favorite, although it is hard to be surprised by a cold, it was very fresh and tasty. As for the cinnamon roll, this one managed to surprise me by soft and caramelized texture.
still tried to send for some more cinnamon rolls, at least one for each one, but we have had success, it seems that the roll out at breakneck speed and never left none to tell the story.
Wonderful food and friendliness of Staff won our hearts, for sure we will return soon !!!
