So my wife and I do cake smash photos with toddlers and amazingly, this was taken in the middle of our living room (what you don't see is the TV behind the backdrop and the kitchen to the right). My wife loves baking cakes and she was able to whip up this minimalist cake in no time. Certainly didn't have minimalist flavour though as the kid who ate it devoured it. The fern leaves are from the park beside our place so you could sorta say this was a locally sourced photo shoot! In any case, hope you like my submission to this week's food photography contest!
