After 2 years of nurture and growth, more than a thousand of pineapples planted are yielding fruits. Mom said there were three sources of the pineapples we planted in our farm in Tangadan, San Quintin, Abra, like I've mentioned in my previous articles. But for now I'm gonna give a brief background on these two shown on the photo.
This is a particular interest for me as I've found many contrasts between the two. On the right is the bigger variety. But is has shorter and thorny apical leaves. The one on the left, on the other hand, has smaller fruit with longer and smooth-edged apical leaves. Trust me, all the pineapples grown in the farm are sweet but we have observed the bigger ones yield the sweeter ones.
As rainy starts again, we are planting the "subwal", as we call here, or "slips" in english. As usual, we fill up the hill which has our beautiful gazebo on the top.
