I was craving for kinilaw na papaya, a Filipino delicacy made with unripe papaya dip in spicy vinegar.
Back in our hometown, you can just pick a papaya directly from its tree but here abroad, you can just buy it in the vegetable markets or vegetable section in the supermarkets. I bought this for my tinolang manok, a chicken dish but when I saw that we also have chayote at the fridge, I decided to make a kinilaw for this. Cravings satisfied.
