Prompt: frosting a cake
Maxipel.freegreatpicture.com
Cakes are like the yummiest things ever, agree? Yes, everyone who is not watching his weight is aching for a piece.
But what really would a cake be without icing? Why, like a woman who's made no effort to look good! You know, no attractive clothes, no lovely hairdo, no fancy make up... Who's to know that that bird's got a wonderful personality or character at the first glance?
So, frosting is the marketing, baby; whether for the woman or for the cake - beautiful frosting with the perfect ingredients and the right color mix. The icing suggests and we taste.
I tell you that while lots of people throw out the icing on cake for health reasons (sugar, sugar, sugar), the same people will pick a frosted cake over a plain one without a single thought. Plainly, the icing encourages you to take a bite.
But it's actually a pity to see all that icing go to waste when the cake is being eaten. That's hours of fine art! It would be much more pitiful though to see this damage done earlier! So, when you are done frosting your delicately sumptuous cake, you'd better handle it with care and allow no smearing with heavy hands, or sniping off of corners by chubby little fingers.

Confession time: I've baked a couple of homemade cakes in my life but have never tried frosting a cake. Yeah, all of my advice is actually for me, I know (sigh). I'm more of a eater.
But - I haven't talked about how to actually frost a cake, all that equipment and ingredients needed and their measure story; just plain advised you to give your cakes some frosting. So please google it darlings or ask a professional caterer/baker.
Phew!
