I felt bad laughing at her but it's just that she was so loopy! Whatever the dentist gave her had her talking jibberish and the mouth full of gauze wasn't helping.
“I floss my tears!” she kept saying. I did my best to comfort her and kept driving. “We'll be at your place soon and you'll be able to get some rest” I said trying to console her. She looked at me with her eyes rolling around and pawing at me clumsily and kept saying “I floss my tears”.
I chuckled at how out of it she was and tried not to get stressed with the horrible traffic.
After a grueling slog in bumper-to-bumper traffic we finally arrived at her apartment. I helped her out of the car and as we got to the door I asked her for the keys so I could let us in and my phone rings. It was the dentist office telling me they found her keys on the floor. I told them "thanks, I'll swing by to pick them up" and started back to the car.
