Which means I won't pun at all, because I'm thinking of dirty puns.
In tent city, there are two men who have more hair than sense. One says to the other, "I'm selling my own coin now, beardcoin. It's backed by the value of my beard. For one beardcoin you can get a strand of my beard. The coin is pegged one to one with beard strands. The only way to reduce the supply of beard coin is to claim a strand of my beard by plucking it out. The only way to increase the supply of beard coin is to stimulate a new hair follicle so that I grow another beard strand. It's one of very few currencies backed by a physical good. This sets it above the rest."
The other man says, "I offer clipcoin pegged to beard coin. You can trade one clipcoin for one beard coin and vice versa. If you'd like to trade for a clipcoin with hair follicles from the top of my head, you can, too. There's always enough clipcoin."
"But, what if I don't want a clipcoin and someone tries to use it to claim a beardcoin?"
"No one wants beardcoin, it's too dear."
