My experience here and on discord is that people or creators mainly only care about their own content.
Its like facebook. In the sense people love to follow but wont like your content. They love to watch what you do and in secret judge it. My first message back after a long lay off I received over 100 followers. Over 100 followers! Does that come through in any one of my post. NO.
Steemit is polluted with bots. People create small circles and upvote each other not reaching out to many others. In turn others jump on board feeling left out. Wanting to feel a part of the crowd. I see articles all of the time not worth a 1000 dollars but they sure are getting it. Most of the time its repetitive type content with no real value behind it.
To my knowledge... Its the idea of value that sells better than value itself.
