As the price of steem drops, it's made me stop and think about currency and the future of crypto currency and it's place in the world.
I've come to the conclusion that crypto will never be able to overtake Fiat currency as a mainstream form of currency exchange between people. Now now, soothe your tits twiddle Dee and wait til you get to the end of my post because calling me names that would embarrass a Russian sailor on shore leave after a year of staring at other men's arses and imaging they're boobs in order to get off in the shower.
So here are the reasons:
Firstly
You cannot snort cocaine with crypto. This may not seem important but it is the foundation of wall street. And if wall street don't find a utility for crypto it is unlikely to ever take off. We need institutional investors with big $ if we are to take off but to get them we need to give them a use for the crypto. Until someone comes with cocaine vaping that you can buy with Steem we're gonna be stuck in this rut.
Secondly
Money fights. You can't have a crypto money fight. Or if we did throw hard drives or USB wallets at each other then there would be a lot of bruises as well as many people crying like little bitches after that HDD with 20 BTC breaks apart and you're no longer able to transfer it anywhere. It's just not the same as flinging a bunch of singles at your friend like he has a thong and is working his way through college.
Thirdly
Seriously? You need a 3rd reason and aren't continued yet? Ok fine. Cash is untraceable. Where as we know exactly where every Bitcoin has gone and in wallet it's been. Cash... That $10 bill that you just used to snort cocaine was in a hooker's G-string yesterday, an octogenarian's sock last week and last month a lady with lung cancer coughed up a piece of her lung into her hand after getting change for another pack of cigarettes. Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows. No idea, it's better than Zcash but no one considers you a criminal for having it.
I hope I've convinced you that cash is the future of currency. Crypto is just temporary fling with technology.
