Learning never exhausts the mind...Lord Bryon
Dad challenged me to a game of scrabble today and I accepted.
Early in life this word game had been lying around in the house but I saw it as something nerds played and never gave it much thought, not to talk of pushing to be taught.
Pops however sat me down one cool evening in the sitting room with a can of fruit juice, and painstakingly showed me the rules of the game and how to play it. Yes, I said "painstakingly ". Unfortunately, I'm usually not a very cooperative student....lmao
So while we played today, I had this deja vu moment of those early days when we would laugh over a meal as he guided me through the game, and how I am definitely steady on my feet now, ready to take on anyone...heh, not bragging!
I enjoy it now as I play it with friends, colleagues at work parties, even dates, lol.
My next post will be on how to play the game proper and basic rules to be aware of.
