So I really wanted to try something new, its pretty simple as well. Just put dirt in a pot and let it do its thing. I just add dirt to a pot and put it on the shelf. No seeds, no water.. very minimal. I think that is the big secret to growing plants. Do nothing. Maybe this will work wonders. This has been a big secret of mine, but I finally want to share it with yall on this very special day.
All this nice dirt and no seeds to ruin them, hopefully they get enough light to be happy. Just enough light to grow, what? I am not sure.. but I guess we will find out soon enough. If I see a seed come up, probably just best to pull it for the soils sake.
I have some more soil over here doing stuff with. Exactly what? I dunno. Im just going to let it do its thing. I mean if the earth has been around for millions of years, dirt has done just fine without our help. So best to just let them sit there, let time do its thing.
Sometimes I just come into the grow room and stare at them. I wonder if they notice. Maybe I should talk to the dirt, maybe stir it up once in awhile...
Maybe the secret is no dirt, less is better. I may be on to something here.
These trays should do nicely. They are nice and light too with nothing in them.
I also have a wheel barrow of dirt, as I have been pulling plants out of their pots I just deposit it there. I cannot believe no one else has tried this method of growing. Seems like such a winner, do nothing and wait. Hours, days, weeks months and maybe even years? Maybe the dirt is slow growing but should be a good investment regardless.
Got more dirt here if none of this works. But I think I may be onto something. Why waste all that time starting seeds, putting them in the fridge, soaking them in water. And waiting for them to grow. Just for them to come up and then have to tend to them all the time. They need water and if you forget they die, seems like if we can just skip the plant part of growing it would be much easier to be a gardener I would think.
Hopefully I will return with some big updates and others can try the same. With all the kinds of dirt in the world I bet we can see such cool dirt growing projects. Some have rocks in them, some have bugs and even some fungi. So many possibilities. Who needs seeds when you got all that other action going on in the soil? I think this project should be quite promising. Maybe somewhere between empty pots, and just pots full of soil is the solution.
April fools!
