First day of searching online for cheap plants and trades, I found someone on Craigslist in the St. Pete area that had mango and avocado plants advertised for only $5 each. They said they were thigh height, 2 years old, and in 3 gallon buckets.
These mangos were sprouted from a 9 year old tree in his backyard. Tons of people in St. Petersburg have the same type of mango growing in their yards.
I got 3 mango and 3 avocado. Only plan I have for transplanting is putting one each into large breathable grow bags, like the rice bag type. Any other suggestions? I only see 2 YouTube videos online of people growing mangos in hydroponics. I’m afraid to shock it but only risking $5 plant and time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for looking.
