I have always used Roma’s for my sauce tomatoes, but this year a friend gave me some amazing seeds for several varieties of Polish and Czech paste tomatoes. They are large and meaty. Unfortunately the wet weather is making comparison difficult. I like to harvest when it is dry, which is an impossibility this season. The tomatoes are rather soggy when harvested. The results prove Roma’s are still the thickest. I would love to hear what others have found to be the best.
