The Leaves Have Fallen
My Husband and I have been working on clearing the leaves from several huge trees on our property. We have neighbors that border us and I feel guilty if my leaves blow over onto their yard. We wait until the trees are bare and start raking up the leaves
Usually we gather up all our leaves and spread them around our garden and bedding plants. However, this year we are bagging up all the leaves and I am turning our backyard garden into a lawn. With my art and writing I don't have the time to take care of our garden this coming year. I plan to do a bunch of shows, get my art out there and meet people!
Taking A Break From The Internet!
When I work on art I have to go off-line and limit my communication or I can't concentrate or sit still! If I disappear for a couple days you know I am painting.
My Husband and I make a perfect team. We rake the leaves onto a tarp and dump them behind a nice little plastic mesh fence so the wind cannot blow them away. I hold the bag and my husband bags up the leaves. We can finish 12 bags in an easy 30 minutes. I love this guy, he is so easy to work with.
I'm gleaning the last produce from our garden before I dig it up with a shovel and replant grass this coming spring.
(WIP)
Plus I've been working on several paintings and continuing my series of "Kitchen Art," black and white with a splash of color.
I don't cook from Friday to Saturday and that will be when I work and post on my writing series about the history of vaccines. I hope you all have a lovely Friday and Weekend!
