My wife thinks I'm nuts growing so many types of tomatoes, for me is a lot of fun knowing that there is some many kinds of tomatoes that I can grow every year from seeds that I saved in the past.
Yes, I only grow heirloom varieties, in my opinion they produce a sweeter taste and they ripen earlier.
The new modified hybrids types might look nicer in form and shape but anything that has been engineered for better shelf life can't be better than the organic natural fruits.
