Picking the peppers

I got a reply to my gardening post yesterday from Hive account@mikehamm suggesting that I pick the first peppers off my pepper plant in order to annoy it and make it grow a whole lot more.

So this morning I crept up quietly on the unsuspecting plant, when it wasn’t looking, and picked the peppers! I think it must have still been sleeping because it didn’t do anything. So we will have to wait and see if it notices and gets annoyed enough to spam me with peppers.

Hive account@mikehamm wasn’t sure if this would work for tomatoes also, but given my clandestine success with the peppers, I thought I’d try the same technique on the tomatoes and see how it goes.

So check back in a few days and see how the plants have reacted. It will be interesting to see if Hive account@mikehamm’s strategy works for me too.
