As promised I would like to share some of the experiences of our last trip to Málaga with you. Málaga, the second biggest city of the sunny Andalusia, is one of my absolute favourite places to spend my vacations. I already mentioned the reasons for that in one of my former articles. Who knows, maybe one day we may emigrate to southern Spain ...?
As we have made so many photos, I will divide my report about our journey into several parts. Let's start with the most important thing, the food! :)
In Málaga there are many locations which offer really good food, and today I would like to present you four restaurants where we ate.

The Tandoori offers reasonably priced but delicious Indian and Mexican food.

L'expérience is located on the Plaza del Obispo where one has a fantastic view on the Cathedral of Málaga. Tapas and Paellas of this restaurant are very recommendable.

La Luz de Candela is for gourmands and labels itself as "slow food" restaurant - I like this kind of subtle protest against our fast-paced society ... :)

The Restaurante Vino Mio offers fantastic food as well, and we have been there twice. Once we sat outside, and the second time inside to watch one of the flamenco performances which take place there in the evenings.

Wie versprochen möchte ich mit euch einige der Erlebnisse unserer letzten Urlaubsreise nach Málaga teilen. Málaga, zweitgrößte Stadt des sonnigen Andalusiens, ist einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsurlaubsorte. Die Gründe dafür habe ich bereits in einem früheren Artikel erwähnt. Wer weiß, ob wir nicht doch irgendwann dorthin auswandern werden ...?
Da wir sehr viele Fotos gemacht haben, werde ich den Bericht in mehrere Teile aufsplitten. Lasst uns mit dem wichtigsten beginnen, dem Essen! :)
In Málaga kann man ganz köstlich dinieren, und heute möchte ich vier Restaurants vorstellen, in denen wir gespeist haben:

Im Tandoori kann man preisgünstig und doch sehr lecker indische und mexkanische Speisen genießen.

Das L'expérience befindet sich in fantastischer Lage auf dem Plaza del Obispo gegenüber der Kathedrale von Málaga. Man erhält dort sehr leckere Tapas und Paella.

Das La Luz de Candela ist etwas für Feinschmecker und bezeichnet sich als "slow food" Restaurant - mir gefällt dieser subtile Protest gegen unsere schnellebige Zeit ... :)

Im Restaurante Vino Mio, wo sich ebenfalls ganz vorzüglich essen lässt, haben wir sogar zweimal gegessen. Einmal draußen, und, als wir erfuhren, dass dort Flamenco-Vorführungen stattfinden, noch einmal drinnen.

Tandoori

We drank lassi, a traditional yogurt-based drink which is rather popular in India.

We ate tasty vegetable basmati rice with lamb meat "Madras" (in the foreground) and prawns. The meat sauce was - original Indian - rather spicy which I really like. Who prefers it less aromatic should inform the waiter.

Es gab leckeren Basmatigemüsereis mit Lammfleisch "Madras" (im Vordergrund) und Garnelen. Die Fleischsoße war - originalindisch - ziemlich scharf gewürzt, was ich sehr mochte. Wer es weniger pikant bevorzugt, sollte einfach dem Kellner Bescheid sagen.

In the evening of a hot day this Sangría was really refreshing. Actually my wife doesn't drink alcoholic drinks these days because she is breastfeeding our baby, but this evening we made an exception and after that let our little princess drink some baby formula from the bottle.

Am Abend eines heißen Tages tat diese Sangría richtig gut! Meine Frau trinkt eigentlich zurzeit keinen Alkohol, da sie unser Baby stillt, aber für diesen Abend machten wir eine Ausnahme und gaben unserer kleinen Prinzessin danach gekaufte Baby-Milch aus der Flasche.

... and ordered two dishes of tapas (among others with salmon, quail's eggs, "presa ibérica" and deep-fried Camembert).

At the beginning Gazpacho and a very good red wine (this time my wife had to settle for ice tea).

Obviously in spite of the late hour our little girl was still wide awake. It seems she is becoming a night owl like me ... :)

As dessert my wife took various citrus fruits and I a mousse of white chocolate.

As dessert we took "Granizado"-ice, made with passion fruit, mango and mandarin, and a mango mousse.

This is now our second stay in the Restaurante Vino Mio. We began with "Boda Arabe", a warm couscous salad with fresh vegetables and king prawns.

As main course my wife ate duck with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I 'stole' some of the meat and have to confirm that it was really tasty! :)

Hotel Don Curro

As many times before we stayed in the very centrally located and recommendable Hotel Don Curro. The following pictures show how the breakfast looked like:
