My husband Paradise-Found (Papa Bear) posted about our dinner the other night including the low carb alfredo sauce I made for our zoodles.
@Cecicastor asked for the recipe so I am sharing it below. This is part of our new low carb eating plan.
Keto Alfredo Sauce
1 T. butter
2 t. minced garlic
1 1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
1/2 t. nutmeg
and salt and pepper to taste.
Begin by sauteing minced garlic in butter. Next add the heavy whipping cream and let it simmer for 5 minutes. It will naturally reduce and get thicker. Now add the Parmesan cheese, lower the temperature and whisk constantly, until smooth. Add the nutmeg, salt and pepper at the end.
This makes 6 servings of 1/4 cup. Carbs 3 grams. Fat 25 grams. Calories: 253
You can adjust the amount of garlic to taste I think the more the better.
