Kumusta All! Hi there. As you may know already, I moved here to the philippines from hawaii a year ago. One of the first things I wanted to do was to find a good gym. I used to go to a local style gym while I lived in Bulacan, a more rural part of philippines, which is about 2 hours outside the main metro area. That gym in Bulacan was nice but not as 'sterile' or equipped as Gold's. (of course) They had a set of dumbells (homemade kine) and about 10 different machines, and a few stationary bikes. I like it and did manage to get some gains there.
Now, after 8 months there in bulacan, we moved to the city part here on Luzon, the biggest and most populated island of the Philippines. Low and behold there was a Gold's gym just 8 blocks away. I went to check it out. Now, normally things are cheaper cost-wise in the Philippines compared to in US, so I was shocked when I was told it was 960php (about $18 usd) per visit. A monthly membership there was also extremely expensive.
Ok, after some talking to the manager, he told me about this 20 visits deal for 2495 php ($49 usd). I considered that reasonable and got that plan. I did that initially, but also did some searching online about Gold's Gym, Philippines.. I found an online coupon good for 2 months of unlimited membership.. for only 2395php ($48 usd) wow! Big difference, right? Ok, on to my main reason for this post..
Gold's gym has many things that my old gym in Bulacan doesn't. More of everything.. more free weights, more machines, more bikes and treadmills, too. They offer a bunch of different classes like zumba, cycling, yoga, etc. They have locker rooms with showers. Another 'benefit' is the décor.. these pictures are posted all over the walls and on every pillar of the gym. They are huge! 6 feet tall, life-size pictures. You can't help but look at these while working out and walking around. Now, I am all for motivational images, but I don't know about these..
what do you think? Give you any decorating ideas??
and more like these..
yay?? i guess.
