"I feel so much better now that it's Hamas shooting my son's kneecaps than my daughters dying because Hamas forced them to stay in a building the Zionists bombed."
Khan Yunis, October 28 - A resident of this city in the southern half of Palestinian-controlled territory along the Mediterranean voiced a sense of lightness today that the people executing, beating, amputating, abusing, raping, and otherwise repressing his relatives and friends are Islamist Palestinians, as opposed to Jews.
"It's such a load off the nerves," breathed Marwan Masri, 47. "I feel so much better now that it's Hamas shooting my son's kneecaps for looking funny at them, rather than my daughters dying because they were forced to stay in a building the Zionists bombed."
Masri, whose wife Hamas thugs just forced to have sex with four of them in exchange for hijacked food aid, spoke of the optimism now gripping the Gaza Strip with the departure of Israeli forces from most of the heavily-populated areas and the return of barbarous Hamas control.
"The Israelis, they didn't rape even a single Palestinian, male or female," he spat. "What are we, not good enough for them? My clan can't go twenty-four hours without enduring a sexual assault, or a torture session in which various objects are shoved into their rectums. The most we could hope for when the Zionists were here was accidentally getting shot. Now things are gradually returning to their proper state."
"We can't have usurpers mistreating us only as collateral damage," explained a member of the Doghmush clan, which has born the brunt of Hamas wrath since the IDF redeployment. "There's no dignity in that. Not to be the actual target of the infidel? Shameful, as if you're irrelevant, an afterthought. At least with Hamas we know we, personally, are the intended victims. We matter. I can't imagine dying in an airstrike and being called a martyr. So much better to be beaten to death because Hamas thinks we pose a threat to their total control. We have some semblance of an illusion of potential power, amid general Palestinian impotence."
Analysts noted that the dynamic derives from the larger phenomenon, apparent since the 1930's, in which the Arabs in the region prefer to suffer under abusive, repressive, exploitative, corrupt, incompetent, bloodthirsty Arab despots than to live under the freest, most prosperous, most bountiful system if Jews control any part of it. Thus, they rejected plan after plan to divide the land under dispute into a Jewish State, however small, and an Arab State, because Allah forbid the dhimmi Jews be anything but an abject underclass at the mercy of even the lowliest Arab.
Allah, apparently, disagrees.
