What is coconut oil?
Coconut oil is obtained from dill - dried coconut meat.
The basic ingredient of coconut oil is lauric acid, which has strong antiviral and antibacterial effect and it protects us from many diseases.
The only other source of lauric acid is breast milk, and it is known that milk builds the immune system of a newly born baby, so it's clear how that is important.
The other ingredient of coconut oil is caprylic acid, which promotes the development of "good" bacteria, especially lactic acid bacteria.
Caprylic acid has a positive effect on the cure of candida and destroys the parasites in the digestive tract.
The advantage of coconut oil in front of other oils is also the medium chain fatty acids which are easily digested and absorbed in the human body and do not burden the digestive system. These fatty acids do not endanger the blood but go directly to the liver, where they turn into energy.
Coconut oil = superfood
Coconut oil is one of the few foods that can be classified as "super food".
Its unique combination of fatty acids can have profound positive effects on our health.
This includes fat loss, better brain function and various other incredible benefits.
Coconut oil is one of the richest sources of saturated fatty acids. The largest number of fatty acids in the diet are long-chain fatty acids, but the coconut oil's medium fatty acids behave differently in the metabolism.
They go straight into the liver from the digestive tract where they are used as a fast energy source or converted into ketone bodies, which may have a therapeutic effect on brain diseases such as epilepsy and Alzheimer's.
Coconut oil has shown its efficiency in fast energy lifting and is also used as a natural sun protection. It can also be used as a moisturizer and is recommended to be applied to the skin before bedtime.
Populations consuming coconut oil = healthy populations
Coconut is kind of "exotic food" in the western world, which is consumed by health conscious people only. However, in some parts of the world, coconut is one of the main foods.
The best example is a population of Tokelau, which lives in the South Pacific. They put in their body over 60% of coconut calories. They are the biggest saturated fat consumers in the world. These are people of excellent health, without evidence of heart disease.
