Nutrition experts call it the queen of vegetables for good reason. Recent studies have shown that even one carrot daily can reduce the risk of lung cancer by half.
That does not mean you can smoke at the same time and eat carrots. But they says that anti-carcinogenic properties of carrots are great and should be seriously taken into account. Carrots contain a lot of carotenoids, antioxidants found in plants and are associated with many health benefits.
You've probably heard many good things about the beta carotene. Large carotenoid intake is associated with up to 50 percent reduction in risk of bladder cancer, cervix, prostate, and reduced risk of breast cancer after menopause.
Carrot also contain a lot of alpha-carotene, another very thin carotenoid. One study in Japan has shown that alpha carotene can be even more significant than beta carotene when it comes to preventing tumor cell growth.

Carrots are excellent for juicing, and carrot juice is most commonly used in all detoxification programs. If you only use carrots from juice, be aware that you are using them a lot and that you throw away the fibers, and both things increase the sugar concentration. This does not mean that the juice is not perfectly healthy, but only pay attention if you are sensitive to sugar.
