This is day 1 of a smoothie fast for me. I am going to try to stick with it for 3 days. I have been off of processed sugar for over 2 years and I fell weak this holiday season. I need to get back to healthy eating and eliminating sugar is a difficult task to do. Recent studies confirmed that sugar is more addictive than cocaine, cancer feeds on it, and is the the cause of weight gain. I gained 7 pounds. The best trick I learned is when the sugar craving came, I would eat a handful of cashews and it would go away. Wish me luck on this sugarless journey again.
