A HEART- HEALTHY DIET
- Intake of fruits
Eat enough quantities of fresh fruit per day. Juice is nothing compared to eating of fruits due to its rich fibre content and other natural sugars and flavours.
- Consumption of vegetables
Eat vegetable salad dressed with either olive or seed oil, as this is the best oil healthy for the heart.
-Go leguminous
Eat two to three portions of legumes like beans, lentils, peas, peanuts, soybeans, etc. a week as this keeps the heart healthy.
-Reduce salt and sugar Consumption
Honey,brown sugars can be used to replace white sugar and there should be less intake of salt.
- whole grain bread and pasta should be eaten in place of white bread and refined pasta
-Regular exercises
Tobacco and coffee should be avoided for a healthy and functioning heart.
