It's now the final week of the Spring into Shape Dietbet. My target to win back my $35, plus split the remaining amount with those that reach their goal was to lose 8 pounds in 4 weeks. I was doing really well and was down 6 pounds. Then and I visited some friends on a long weekend. This meant eating at restaurants twice a day and ALL the ice cream (thank you Ben and Jerry).
Right now I've got 8 days to lose the remaining 3 pounds. Goodbye carbs! And chocolate!
I've been doing strength training 3 times a week, so I'm planning on increasing my sets and reps. We're finally getting some Spring weather in Pennsylvania, so we've been going for longer walks, as well.

Meal planning has been tricky, but the husband cooked up some great high protein, low carb meals for me for the work week. We did go to dinner for my Mom's 60th birthday over the weekend. And I had a slice of cake. How could I tell my Mom, "Sorry, no cake for me on your birthday, I'm on a diet"? We just made sure we went on another walk after dinner.
