I have seen evidence that eating the correct foods, in the proper quantities, and chewed well, can have a profound effect on the outcome of any physically based illness. It can restore balance in both the body and mind and produce a condition of health, even when a person is very sick. However, cultural, social and emotional factors can also have an impact and influence outcomes.
The food we eat does not just affect weight, cholesterol, diabetes, allergies and all of the other things that we know of with a direct connection to diet. The food we eat creates the blood circulating through and nourishing every organ and cell in our bodies. As a result, it affects the health of every part of our bodies, including our brains.
Disease can enter through two food related pathways.
Sometimes disease can arise because because our food is either toxic, or inappropriate for a person's condition.
Other times, disease can arise because our diet lacks certain essential things we need.
Correcting either of these problems will improve a person's health. Correcting both of these problems simultaneously can allow a person to heal from even very serious illnesses.
