Yesterday we were invited to a friend's house to pick mulberry fruit. We are very excited because we have never seen mulberry trees directly. We call it Bebesaran in Indonesia or morus or commonly known as mulberry.
Black, red, and white mulberry are widespread in southern Europe, the Middle East, northern Africa and Indian subcontinent. Immature fruit is red and it tastes sour. It’s turns into a blackish purple when ripe and have sweet flavor. The leaves are silkworm food.
According to one source, mulberries contain dietary fiber, iron, resveratrol, anthocyanins, vitamin C, vitamin A, and various other polyphenolic and phytonutrient compounds and caroten.
Health benefits of mulberries are : aid digestion, increase blood circulation, regulate blood pressure, prevent cancer, improve vision, boost immunity, build bones tissue, prevent premature aging.

Kemarin kami diajak ke rumah seorang teman untuk memetik buah murbei. Kami sangat bersemangat karena belum pernah melihat pohon murbei secara langsung. Bebesaran atau murbei. Murbei hitam, merah, dan putih tersebar luas di Eropa selatan, Timur Tengah, Afrika utara dan India.. Buahnya berwarna merah dan rasanya asam bilamasih muda dan berubah menjadi ungu kehitaman saat bila ranum dan rasanya manis. Daunnya merupakan makanan ulat sutera.
Menurut satu sumber, murbei mengandung serat makanan, zat besi, resveratrol, anthocyanin, vitamin C, vitamin A, dan berbagai polifenol lainnya. senyawa phytonutrisi dan karoten.
