Star fruit juice
Star fruit is a great diuretic and people who always complain about urine infection should make themselves a glass of juice from these little known sweet and sour fruits and have them. People who are not having any health problems should also drink this juice as it is a wonderful source of essential nutrients.
To make around 4 glasses of juice you need:
Ingredients:
15 nos star fruit
Sugar for taste
A glass of water
Method:
Slice the star fruit.
Put them in a juicer.
Give it a good grind.
Strain the juice, add sugar as per your taste and serve chilled.
Make sure you add sugar before you add water to the juice as the sugar may make the juice a little watery. You can store this juice for around 5 days by refrigerating it. This juice taste good when it is chilled.

Star fruit Marmalade
Star fruit Marmalade would be great a on the go toast. This tangy jam can be spread over toast , bread and can even be tossed with your salads to give it a sweet and sour taste. Star fruit Marmalade can also be used to treat cough among kids. Kids will love the taste and it will do wonders to their health.
Ingredients:
20 nos of star fruit
Rock sugar
Pinch of rock salt
Method :
Slice the fruits and grind them. Extract the juice with the help of a strainer. Put the extracted juice and required amount of rock sugar and a pinch of rock salt in a pan and keep stirring it till it gets a jam like consistency.
I have used rock sugar and rock salt because they have medicinal values. You can always use regular sugar and salt if it is unavailable. This Marmalade can be stored at cool and dry place for over a year.
