Hi day 18! So, what's the news?
Thinking about giving up sugar was harder than actually doing it.
How blissfully happy I am without it, I never thought I’d ever say that!
The fact that I have been wasting so much full fat foods like egg yolks, cream, cheese. I’m serious, I used to chuck the stuff out or remove it from any meal that was made for me where possible.
Coconuts have changed my life! I never really liked the taste of coconut cream, milk, water no coconut anything unless it was used topically – perhaps my palate has changed, perhaps I’ve become a little re-educated – who knows? Anyways the point is that because I use a lot more of the stuff in my cooking it satiates my appetite in ways that sugar never could and I could even go so far as saying it has made giving sugar up possible.
The whole point of trying out this experiment for me was to see if. . .
I truly put my mind to changing a personal struggle i.e like a 30 day sugar free challenge could I do it?
When the 30 day challenge is done, will it be a habit that I can sustain to make it more of a lifestyle decision?
I wasn’t sure that I could answer those questions when I started the challenge. With just 12 days left I can say with absolute conviction that I never want to look back to the amounts of sugar my household could consume ever again and the answer to both questions is ‘YES!’
