I have to make a confession.. My love for smoothie bowls has grown fast in a short period of time. Why didnt I start making these sooner? This weekend I enjoyed this chocolate – peanutbutter smoothie bowl and I know you want his too! Delicious, healthy and filled with fresh ingredients. My favorite ingredient? PEANUTBUTTER! You should try it yourself.
WHAT ARE SMOOTHIE BOWLS?
We all know the good old smoothie which is usually served in a big glass. The regular smoothie is joined by her little sister ‘the smoothie bowl’. It’s made with the same fruit and vegetables base but the different kind of toppings deffinitely make it something unique and more special! You can go all out with adding different kind of toppings as well as making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want. Today (and everyday) we are choosing healthy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 frozen banana
- 2.5 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoon raw cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon of peanutbutter (choose a healthy one)
- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein
TOPPINGS:
- chia see
- nuts (raw)
- cacao nibs
- raisins
- frozen blueberries
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Mix the banana, almondmilk, water, cacao powder, peanutbutter and whey powder in a blender. If the smoothie is to thick add some extra almond milk or water.
- Pour the smoothie in a bowl and add your favorite toppings to decorate it.
