Evidently soursop leaf have power to cured colon cancer.
Colon cancer can be cured with soursop leaf: tim flona tisna.
Soursop leaf have often used as herbal medication for cancer patient. However, there's no scientific prove yet.
This usability was then proved by Lili Indrawati doctor of nutrition from medical school university of Indonesia. In her research, soursop leaf proved to slow down the cancer development in the patient of colon cancer or colorectal cancer.
The research was done on 30 colon cancer patients which divided in 2 groups. 15 patient were given soursop leaf extract 7 glasses a day regularly and the rest was given placebo. Each one was given with the same dosage.
"The one which was given the soursop leaf extract can slow down the cancer cells for about 17 %" says Lili after dissertation hearing at FKUI, salemba, jakarta, Thursday (26/6).
However slow down of the cancer cells only happen to colon cancer at early stage. According to lili, for advance stage was not possible because it will need so
much dosage to make it work or about 210 glass of soursop leaf extract per day.
This research also shown that there's no bad side effects for another body part from soursop extract consumption for 2 months.
"For 2 months there's no side effects. We still don't know if consumption continuously if still shows the same result. " she explained.
Although has been proved to slow down colon cancer, the usage of this soursop leaf extract only treated as side medication or treatment. Main medical treatment was still need to cancer patients.
Lili also said that her research was only limited for colon cancer. Whether soursop leaf also effective for other kind of cancer still need another research.
