There is a dish in Germany that is popularly eaten known as Brezel. They are soft, white pretzels made out of flour, yeast and the universal ingredient, water(Wasser). It is sprinkled with salt and sometimes, different seeds are also sprinkled over it.
It is not a dish per say but is used as a side dish when you aren't maybe in the mood to cook or don't have time. It is also used as snack during lunch or whenever, a journey snack. It can be taken with beer but especially with a strong German beer which would suffice.
It can be found in any bakery in Germany, you come along, at street stands where they are sold plain, buttered or sliced depending on your choice.
