A morning smoothie that will improve our blood, detox our body and give us the energy to start the day.

As winter is just ending here and we are coming to a period with more sun, first edible spring plants have been shown from the ground, which have a cleansing and invigorating effect on our body.
A little sun and fresh vegetables on winter days can affect our mood, productivity and inner peace.
In the last week, most of the snow melted and wild garlic and dandelion appeared almost out of nowhere. I rushed to make a salad and this was the best salad I ate, since last year.
Yesterday I got hungry for more wild food and after foraging the woods and I prepared detox soup with chilli granola.
Ingresients for the smoothie:
- 1 apple
- 2 bananas
- 100 g of mixed forest berries: blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, blackberries, cherries
- 1 small beetroot
- 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds
- 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary
- 1 cup of primrose flowers and leaves
- 2 dl of rice milk
Nutrition and health facts:
- apple: are full of antioxidants, vitamins C, E, B1, and B6, a good amount of fiber.
Apples are great for our gut health, it may lower the risks of diabetis, it can lower the risk of heart disease, helps preventing cancer. - berries: especially blueberries, are full of antioxidants, vitamins, fibers.
Incorporating berries in our diet helps stimulate our memory, lower blood pressure, cleanse urinary tract, reduce symptoms of many chronic diseases, helps preventing cancer. - banana: are full of in magnesium, iron, beta carotene and vitamin C, which plays a very important role in maintaining a healthy immune system.
They are also an excellent source of potassium, which fills us with energy and stimulates the kidneys to function and excrete waste products.
Bananas are antioxidants, takes care of digestion, boosts our body with energy. - beetroot: is rich in iron, manganese, potassium, copper, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and B9.
It improves blood flow, takes care of digestion, boosts stamina and lowers blood pressure, can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, helps preventing cancer. - seeds: are full of good fats, vitamins, antioxidants, fibers and a good amount of protein.
Great for digestion, flaxseeds are used to prevent constipation, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, cancer, and several other conditions. - spring leaves and flowers: flowers contain lots of vitamin C antioxidants and minerals. Boosts our immune system, fights colds and infections.
Primrose flowers and leaves detoxes respiratory system and cleanse urinary tract, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and increases chlorophyll levels, which helps the body excrete toxins.
Rosemary can improve our mood, cleanse lungs, ease headaches and muscle tension.
